Possibly the slickest chalet ever made, the Chedi Andermatt is what you get when you mix the Alps with Asia (clue: it’s more than a ‘Zen’ colour palette). The Swiss stay is 1,447 metres above sea level, with more elevation coming in the form of its mountain-facing outdoor pool, Japanese restaurant and resident sushi masters, and Alp-framing picture windows. Ski butlers are on hand to help you seek out prime powder (and assist with cumbersome equipment).

Surrounded by the Swiss Alps, The Chedi Andermatt nestles elegantly among the ski chalets of Andermatt, a village of timeless charms in the Urseren Valley. While Milan is only a 2h car drive away, Lucerne and Zurich can be reached by car within 1h and 5h by train.
